Homecoming

Veterans of the Vietnam War faced numerous challenges upon their return home, including a lack of recognition for their service and the psychological toll of combat. Many veterans experienced social rejection and were not properly welcomed back into society. Additionally, some veterans struggled with post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD) and other mental health issues without adequate support systems in place. The transition from the battlefield to civilian life was often difficult, leading to feelings of isolation and alienation for many Vietnam veterans. Despite their sacrifices, Vietnam veterans were sometimes met with indifference or even hostility, making their reintegration into society a challenging and painful process.  In the past few years more people have begun to realize the sacrifices made by these brave veterans and we hope this project continues that recognition.
