SEPAC Welcome New Parents Meeting

Parents and caregivers of children who recently enrolled in special education programs in the Worcester Public Schools (WPS) are invited to attend a "Welcome New Parents Meeting."

The meeting aims to help parents/caregivers understand the school support available, including speech therapy, occupational therapy, physical therapy and applied behavior analysis (ABA).

The meeting will be hosted by the Worcester Special Education Parent Advisory Council (SEPAC) in collaboration with the WPS Special Education Department.

Please attend one of four upcoming meetings based on which school your child attends:

  • Tuesday, October 1, 6:00-7:30 PM: South Quadrant Schools. Meeting location: Gates Lane Elementary School, 1238 Main Street, Worcester

  • Thursday, October 17, 6:00-7:30 PM: Burncoat Quadrant Schools. Meeting location: Norrback Avenue Elementary School, 44 Malden Street, Worcester

  • Tuesday, October 29, 6:00-7:30 PM: North Quadrant Schools. Meeting location: Roosevelt Elementary School, 1006 Grafton Street, Worcester

  • Thursday, November 7, 6:00-7:30 PM: Doherty Quadrant Schools. Meeting location: Nelson Place Elementary School, 35 Nelson Place, Worcester

What Quadrant Is My School In?

We recommend that parents attend the meeting in their school's quadrant. If you cannot participate, you may attend a different meeting.

Each family will receive a welcome packet containing valuable information to assist you in transitioning from Early Intervention into the school system. This package includes information about schools, therapies, insurance, DDS, and more.

To ensure we can accommodate everyone, we kindly ask parents/caregivers to register one week before the desired meeting date. (See registration links below.)
