Dear WPS Grade 9 Students and Families,

Worcester Technical High School will have a limited number of seats available for students who will be in grade 10 next school year, 2026-2027, and would like to enroll.

An open house (information session) is scheduled for Thursday, May 14, and the admissions lottery will be open from May 15-June 1.

Please note that grade 10 seats are only open to students who are not already enrolled in a Chapter 74 Career Technical Education (CTE) program. 

Open House

On Thursday, May 14, from 5:30-7:00 PM, an open house (information session) will be held for current grade 9 students who are interested in applying. The open house (information session) along with tours of the programs will be held at Worcester Technical High School, 1 Officer Manny Familia Way in Worcester.

CTE Programs With Availability

The following CTE programs (shops) will be available:

• Drafting (CAD; 4 seats available)

• Environmental Science (5 seats available)

• Hospitality Management (12 seats available)

• Painting and Design (2 seats available)

• Programming and Web Development (4 seats available)

Lottery Admissions Process

If you are interested in attending Worcester Technical High School next year through one of these programs, you are required to apply through a lottery admissions process. 

• Please visit wps.go2cte.com to apply. You can also speak with your high school guidance counselor or another school staff member for assistance.

• You will have to apply for a specific CTE program. (You will not go through an “Exploratory Process.”)

• Grade 10 seats at Worcester Technical High School are only open to current ninth-grade students who are not already enrolled in a Chapter 74 CTE program.
