Just a reminder that personal devices are not allowed at school. Please be sure to bring your school-issued Chromebook with you every day and have it fully charged. If you need help with your Chromebook, the Chromebook Help Desk is open Tuesdays and Thursdays during lunch.

The Student Council is sponsoring Doherty's annual Winter Spirit Week next week with daily themes, activities and Minute-to-Win-It games each day during lunch.

Snowman/ Snow Sculpture Contest
The Student Council is holding Doherty's 1st annual Snowman building/ Snow sculpture contest after school on Wednesday February 11th. Prizes, snacks, and coca provided. Entry fee is $3 per person or $5 per team for a team up to 4 people.
Participants will meet in the cafeteria after school on Wednesday and have 30 minutes to build their creation outside in their assigned space. Sign-ups begin this Friday at lunch. Students, staff, clubs and teams are encouraged to participate. See Ms Waters for more details. Stop by next Wednesday to build a snowman or enjoy cocoa and watch from inside the cafe.
Reminder: The library at lunch is open to students who want to do school work, quietly read or do another quiet, calm activity. The library is not for students who are looking to socialize, wander, or engage in activities that disrupt others’ ability to work or relax.

Juniors - The Yearbook Class Application is Now Open!
If you are interested in being part of the Yearbook Staff next year, please fill out the form in the Junior Google Classroom by Sunday, February 22nd.
The Yearbook class is a year-long class, where you will design the Class of 2027 yearbook, help plan pep rallies, design senior apparel, and more. Spots fill up quickly.

The Envirothon Team will meet on Wednesday, February 11 after school. We are hosting a guest speaker, Isabela Ortiz, from Broad Meadow Brook Wildlife Sanctuary. All are welcome to join us in the D500 common area.
Happy almost Valentine’s Day! Next Thursday, February 12, join Colors of Culture for our Cookie Swap + Pink Out! Wear pink, bring a cookie or $3, and enjoy cookies and cocoa in Room B202 at 1:45 PM.
Guidance News:
Attention Junior Parents , Guardians and 11th grade students: SAT Registration Information: Current 11th-grade students may sign up to take the SAT through CollegeBoard.org. Registration is now open for the March test date for students who choose to take the exam (the deadline to register is February 27). A free SAT fee waiver is available for eligible students. To receive a waiver code, students should email their school counselor directly for a code. There are limited codes, and fee waivers may also be requested directly through collegeboard (this takes 2 weeks so please give ample time). Please note that many colleges are test-optional and do not require SAT scores for admission. Taking the SAT is a personal choice and not required by all institutions. Additional testing information, dates, and registration details can be found on CollegeBoard.org. Students should be sure to use their school email address when registering. For questions, students are encouraged to contact their school counselor.
Sports News:
Congratulations to the boys and girls track team for their amazing performances at the CMAC League Meet yesterday at the TRACK at New Balance in Boston. PRs were had by almost all athletes.
The boys finished 6th overall with 30 points from Jaden Achempong-2nd place in 55m and Abbenego Dennis, 7th place in 55m, Owen Rucki 5th place in 300m, Ayden Collins 2nd place in Shot put, and boys 4x200m got 2nd place and will join Ayden and Jaden at the MIAA Division 3 State Qualifying meet onThursday.
The girls finished 12th overall with 7 points from Hannah McCumber-7th place 1 mile, Amanda Correa-8th place in 2 mile, Andrea Castillo-Balza-7th place in 1000m, and the girls 4x400m team-7th place.
Congratulations to all athletes. Please begin to return your uniforms to Ms. Wilson in room D304 and listen for announcements for our end of season celebration.
There will be a girls golf team meeting this Wednesday after school in the upper cafeteria. If interested in learning more about the team, come join us and ask questions. All skill levels are welcome, including beginners. Communicate with Ms McGuirk, in the gym, if you have any question
The locker rooms are closed before school unless you are in period one Physical Education class or an athlete in season, dropping off equipment. Please do not go to the D2 hallway before school for any reason if you do not belong there.
