Drew Weymouth shakes hands with Mayor Joseph M. Petty after accepting the Principal of the Year award.

WORCESTER – Thursday, May 14, 2026 – On Monday, May 11, the Worcester Public Schools hosted its Vision to Action Awards at Worcester Technical High School, celebrating the educators and staff from across the district who are bringing Vision to Action in our school communities.

The district honored more than 50 educators and staff members for their unwavering dedication and impact, each nominated by their principals and leadership teams. Highlighting the evening’s honors, Worcester Technical High School’s Drew Weymouth was named Principal of the Year, and Taylor Nunez of the Gerald Creamer Center was named Educator of the Year.

“The Vision to Action Awards represent the district’s dedication to celebrating those who go beyond the classroom to help shape the future of Worcester,” said Superintendent Brian E. Allen. “This gathering of staff and community members from across the district served as a powerful reminder of the collective passion and professional excellence within the Worcester Public Schools.”

In addition to the school-based awards, five district staff members were honored with the Visionary Leaders Award, recognizing WPS central office and administrative staff who ensure a positive and efficient work environment in benefit of the school district and its mission.
